From Stan Fischler at MaxHockey.com:
This time, however, there was a difference; Wang hung on to the club and, eventually, Milbury departed for greener pastures; disguised as a television studio. And more power to him!
The Milbury Syndrome applies to Gainey because he survived a dreadful season-finish yet kept his job because George Gillett has sold the team to The Molson Brothers.
Given this grace period, Gainey has gone wild in the market; and who can blame him.
Scotty Gomez, Mike Cammelleri, Brian Gionta, Mike Komisarek, Travis Moen, Paul Mara.
The list goes on and on but Gainey’s job won’t unless he can make it work.
Click here for more. Do you Habs’ fans out there think Gainey can get the job done in 2009-2010?
