Iginla Admits to Not Stepping Up When It Mattered Most

“It’s fair,’’ Jarome Iginla said of the criticism sure to be coming his way, voice barely audible through a thicket of microphones, notepads and TV cameras. “We’re expected to do more. The veteran players. The leaders. We’re the ones. I’m the captain. There’s a responsibility involved in that.

I’m not a fan of Iginla by any measure at all but if he doesn’t find other ways to lead other than by busting peoples’ balls and trash-talking, he’s not going to get his team back to the SCFs.  There are other ways to be a clutch player.

i hope flames better find someone good to play with Iginla and a better bckup goalie or else they r gonna be in the same spot as Oilers next season :(
