In Trouble?

If the New York Rangers lose to the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight, the team will be in trouble.

That would put the Rangers at 3-8 in their last 11 and would more than likely still keep them out of the top eight in the Eastern Conference.

There is one major problem here: secondary scoring!

The team continues to rely on guys like Marian Gaborik and Vinny Prospal to produce every single night and while they have been able to do so successfully for the most part, they need help. Where are guys like Ryan Callahan, Christopher Higgins and Sean Avery? When are players such as Artem Anisimov and Enver Lisin going to produce on a consistent basis? When is defenseman Michael Del Zotto going to get back into the act?

These are all questions that need answers fast. No folks, head coach John Tortorella is not going anywhere. However, the team may want to take a closer look at their farm team in Hartford for some help. I’m sure those guys would play hard every single night and produce to the best of their abilities.
