Rangers Reading on a Rainy Friday

As has been for most of the summer, there isn’t too much going on in Rangerland. Just another rainy summer day as we all wait for hockey season to start.
One thing that did peak my interest is that Mark Everson of The New York Post writes about the Blueshirt’s and Devils interest in Boston’s Phil Kessel:
The Rangers are believed to have talked seriously with the Bruins about trading for Kessel, but not lately. At least two other teams are believed to have stepped up their bidding of late. Kessel is rehabbing from rotator cuff surgery, but may be ready to skate when camps open next month.
Click here for more on that. We’ll see if that turns into something but right now, I would not read too much into it.

Who writes this stuff? The New York Post…..? Kessel hasn’t played center since high school…..and as for his defense he’s never going to win a Selke award. As for a trade..the Bruins have no cap space to add a roster player so the Rangers would have to come up with a couple of #1 draft picks. I think Sather is stupid enough to do it though….............
