From Stan Fischler at MaxHockey.com:
Any prune-love—like The Maven—will tell you that those wonderful fruits never taste the same without the pits.
Oh, I know that the lazy folk love to eat prunes without the pits just as they do their olives.
Me? I love the act of removing the pits and then getting to the meat of my prune or olive, as the case may be.
Which is a roundabout way of saying the Stanley Cup champs may be headed for the pits without their pits.
I’m talking about Rob Scuderi and Hal Gill each of whom has sought greener—as in money, or lettuce if you like Caesar Salads—pastures.

And? Gill wasn’t one of their best in the regular season. In the playoffs he stepped up and so did Scuderi, but they are replaceable. That may be hard to believe for Fischler, but they are replaceable for the right price. Will the losses hurt them? Yes. Will they find replacements? Yes.

Why is he still writing? compare what they lost this year versus last year’s Free Agency, and you’re laughing…
this guy writes about the Pens every chance he gets, but always with a closed mind...i cna’t believe he’s even able to turn a computer on…

About Goal Line Report
The Goal Line Report will focus on all things Eastern Conference. Do I have a bias towards the Eastern Conference just because I am a New Yorker? No, but it certainly does make things easier! I’ll make my opinions known on Eastern Conference news bits (as often as I can), big games, hot and cold players, trades (I don’t make things up) and anything and everything else related to the Eastern Conference that I think is important for hockey fans to know. I will, in every sense of the word, be the beast of the East while also making sure to drop my thoughts on other hockey news items.
I, Patrick Hoffman, have covered the NHL since 2003 and have worked for a variety of hockey media sources including: Stan Fischler, Spector’s Hockey, TheHockeyNews.com, HockeyBuzz.com, McKeen’s Hockey, Blueshirt Bulletin, XM Home Ice Channel Hockey Blog, HockeyPrimeTime.com, FantasyHockey.com. NY SportsDay, and HokejaVestnesis.com.

What was his point? That Pitt lost it’s best defensive defenecman. Dah!! That news is old. All he’s doing is stating obvious but old news. This was an unnecessary and lazy column. At least go out into the hockeyworld and do some reporting and find some interesting hockey news that we can read and be informed by.
