Thoughts on Kotalik?

Well, as our fearless leader just linked to, Ales Kotalik has left the Blueshirts and is awaiting a trade.
Kotalik has struggled all season and this was a case of not producing and not having things work on Broadway. There is no doubt that he had a hard shot and helped the power play a bit but unfortunately, he has been inconsistent for much of this season.
So, what exactly does this mean for the Rangers? Who is GM Glen Sather trying to acquire? Is it someone that can help now? Is it someone young? All I know is that this team needs help in a big way so hopefully, Sather put his “smart” hat on and is acquiring someone that makes sense for this hockey club.
What do you folks think?
