Goal Line Report
Tough to Swallow

The New York Rangers were lucky to escape last night’s game against the Florida Panthers with a 2-1 shootout loss. I say lucky because they were outplayed, out hit, out forechecked, and out shot all night.
Luckily for the Blueshirts, they had the best of Henrik Lundqvist between the pipes and he did everything he could to get two points for his hockey club. However, the one point he did get his team helped put the club in fourth place in the tight Eastern Conference.
On a team that has the offensive talent to score goals, it’s amazing that out of all players, it was Fredrik Sjostrom who scored for the Rangers tonight. This isn’t taking anything away from him but the team’s big guns need to start stepping up.
Someone needs to tell me why this team can’t win games in regulation, especially when given opportunities to do so because with less than five minutes to go in the third period, the team had a chance score on the power play and of course, they couldn’t convert.
Same old, same old from the Blueshirts and with a tough game coming up on Sunday afternoon with the Philadelphia Flyers, it’s tough to swallow right now.
