Will They Score?

That is the question that every New York Rangers fan is asking themselves as the team gets set to take on the Pittsburgh Penguins, who defeated the Philadelphia Flyers yesterday afternoon by a score of 2-1 in Philly.

The Blueshirts were shut out in back-to-back games last week against the Flyers (Thursday night) and the Montreal Canadiens (Saturday night) by scores of 2-0 and 6-0, respectively. As such, the Rangers will look to break their scoring woes early tonight against the likes of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Jordan Staal, Sergei Gonchar, Brooks Orpik, and others.

To do so, Rangers’ head coach John Tortorella has taken Erik Christensen out of the lineup and has inserted Donald Brashear. I am obviously kidding about Brashear being able to provide offense but unfortunately, this is what the head coach has decided to do.

According to Andrew Gross of Ranger Rants, the lines could look like the following tonight at the Garden:

Vinny Prospal-Brandon Dubinsky-Marian Gaborik
Sean Avery-Chris Drury-Ryan Callahan
Christopher Higgins-Artem Anisimov-Enver Lisin
Donald Brashear-Brian Boyle-Aaron Voros
Marc Staal-Michal Rozsival
Michael Del Zotto-Dan Girardi
Wade Redden-Matt Gilroy

We’ll see if this lineup has any goals in ‘em because if it doesn’t, things could get ugly fast for the Blueshirts.
