An E-mail Interview with Flyers’ Beat Writer Stephen Whyno

Since the New York Rangers are playing the Philadelphia Flyers this afternoon, I figured now would be a good time to post an e-mail interview I conducted with Philadelphia Sports Daily Flyers’ beat writer Stephen Whyno.
Stephen was kind enough to take time out of his busy schedule to tell us about how he got into hockey, how he got into covering hockey and of course, his thoughts on this year’s Flyers hockey club.
PH: How did you get into hockey?
SW: I got into hockey because my parents raised me on it. I met Mike Emrick when I was 4 years old and have kept in touch with him since and only grown in my love of the game since.
PH: Growing up, who was your favorite team/player? Why?
SW: My favorite player was Mark Recchi, probably because I liked how he set guys up for goals so well and could also put the puck in the net.
