Give It Up Dwayne!

Both Alanah and A2Y have brought it up, now Puck Daddy gets involved.
Many of you know what Dwayne has done to KK in the past, if not, just click the Dwayne tag at the bottom of this post and make sure to read all of posts regarding him.
I guess he is still fooling and deceiving people, telling them about his journalism degree from McGill and how well he is connected with the NHL. It is up to you to decide but one has to wonder why no other well known bloggers, most who have met him, have anything good to say about him.
Getting back to the Puck Daddy story regarding TwitterBurke, raise your hand if you did not know it was a parody! Hey you in the back with your hand up, you don’t belong here, the hockey talk is much too advanced for you.

The Fraud

from Chris Botta of Islanders Point Blank,
How do you respond to a fraud?
Do you even try?...
Do you link to all the stories written by pros questioning his integrity and even his life story?...
Do I discuss how the Islanders once caught the fraud back-timing his reports to make it look like he had a trade scoop before anyone else?
read on...

Yes, I received your emails, pointing out the Eklund (Dwayne) situation.
Yes, I read what Eklund said about it…
I was obviously largely offline from around 5pm on, as a very serious family situation kept me from even seeing the error until a few minutes ago.
Hmmm, but it must have not been too serious, since he was at HF Boards at 6:30pm last night (catch the link early, the time/date will change on his next visit).
People, he has done this stuff in the past and will continue to do so in the future. Either chose to live in his world or demand some real answers from him.
added 6:33am, More on this from Kevin Schutlz at AOL Fanhouse and Pension Plan Puppets has it too.
added 1:54pm More at Puck Daddy.

Better Things To Do

from Stu Hackel of Slap Shot at the New York Times,
Oh, and have you heard the latest heap being shoveled by the gossip-mongering character Eklund? He’s got info that the Rangers will trade Scott Gomez to the Canucks to clear cap space so they can sign Sundin. “This source is a source I very much trust,” he writes. “Of course, Mats still has to come to play.”...
Staggering what some people will post in their blogs.
Hey, it’s summer. It’ll make you watch water polo on TV, and make you believe Eklund. You can probably do better things with your time.
more from Stu and some real topics too…
Stu must have caught the blog sometime today, because in the same blog last night Dwayne had Robert Lang signing with the Canadiens if Sundin decided to go elsewhere. Of course, after being blasted about Lang signing with the Canadiens (he is under contract with the Blackhawks), he deleted that portion and changed it around.
But of course, this is the norm for Dwayne, it happens on numerous occasions and to think of it- Dwayne tried to get me to join a professional bloggers association with him.!

Those Vague Sources

from Greg Wyshynski at Yahoo,
Why is it so easy for Kevin Schultz of FanHouse to acknowledge that Strickland’s report appeared on HockeyBuzz.com, where he is a compensated blogger, but not for the mainstream media?
Look, we don’t consider that Web site to be a source of anything but rampant egomania; but like I wrote last week, this trend in which the MSM either fails to source or vaguely sources news broken by blogs is unreasonable and unprofessional….
That said: Andy, Andy, Andy ... you actually wrote in the Bowman piece that, “Word is Bowman is expected to accept the job. This would be huge news!” Haven’t you learned anything from your boss Dwayne Klessel, the musician currently playing the role of “Eklund” on your site? Never make a declarative statement like that, or else you’ll end up reporting that Ryan Smyth re-signed with Edmonton moments before he’s actually traded to the Islanders.
You would think Dwayne, with a journalism degree from McGill University in Montreal (yes, he told me that himself during a conversation I had with him at the SCF) would know better than that!

Lidstrom On Course To Return In Two Weeks

from Ansar Khan at Mlive,
There is apparently an Internet rumor floating around that claims Nicklas Lidstrom’s injury is more serious than the Red Wings are letting on. It states Lidstrom will miss two months because of a sprained MCL and a concussion.
Here’s what Wings coach Mike Babcock said about it after Friday’s game: “We think he’s two weeks (away), max. He’s feeling way better already, so that’s a positive thing for us.’‘
more on the Wings…
That is not even a rumor Ansar, but considering where it came from, well, let’s just say, you should question everything that comes from that website.

from the Dallas Morning News, the Dallas Stars Blog,
Just got off the phone with Les Jackson to ask him about the Marty Turco for Martin St. Louis trade that hockeybuzz is touting, and he said his policy going forward is going to be to not comment on trades, because it just seems like a waste of time to him.
But he said he has not had talks with trading Marty Turco to anyone for anything.
“I am not interested in trading Marty Turco. That’s just the way I feel,’’ he said

from On Frozen Pond,
—Just got an email from old pal Eklund. He says Olli ticked someone off in the Panthers front office lately and basically demanded a trade. Says Ek: “I would be shocked if he were still a Panther come Feburary 27. And another big name as well.’‘
I guess I need to start saying my goodbyes to Olli while he’s still here.
Obviously, I’m being sarcastic here.
And I don’t know what Olli could have done to anger anyone in this organization. He does everything for the Panthers. They ask, Olli does. On ice, off ice. It doesn’t matter. I mean this guy goes to dinners with sponsors. You think he likes that? Think he needs the free meal? No, he’s trying to help out this franchise in any way he can. And he is appreciated for his efforts.
added 2:50pm, from Stan Fischler a the Hockey Journal,
Ever since October, there have been rumors that Olli Jokinen would be dealt by Florida. It hasn’t happened and isn’t likely to happen because chief executive officer Alan Cohen remains convinced that his captain is a major asset to the Panthers, which is fine except that some savvy Panthers-watchers believe that the Florida sextet would be a lot better off on the day the club says bye-bye to Olli.

The “Sorta” Award

I received a “SORTA MSM BLOGS” award from Greg Wyshynski at the Fourth Period.
I would like to “Sorta” thank Greg for the mention.
Make sure the read the full article, some good stuff in there!!! Even a mention of The Entertainer, Dwayne Klessel.
On that subject, the more people that ask me about him, the more I learn about Dwayne. How he continues to lie and deceive is just a shame, but one day, it will catch up with him.
