12,000 Screaming Kids

Based on the ear-piercing, high-pitched screams and shrieks emanating from Honda Center, one might have thought a Justin Timberlake concert was under way.
Instead, the Ducks were trying to bring fun back, to 12,000 screaming kids on a field trip and to a season stuck in neutral.
The team dressed in game uniforms and put on an All-Star-like skills competition and educational exercise for an annual event for area middle schoolers, “First Flight.”
