A Few Detroit Players Could Be Headed To Germany

The world championships may get a lot more intriguing if the Detroit Red Wings have anything to say about it.

With the Red Wings being eliminated from the NHL Playoffs, there’s a handful of countries who could immediately benefit from having some of their players make their way to Germany to play in the tournament. With the Red Wings playing into the Stanley Cup Finals the last two years, countries like Sweden, Russia, Finland and the Czech Republic weren’t able to make use of some of their countrymen because they were locked into playing for Lord Stanley’s Cup.

This time around, depending on decisions of some players, things could turn out differently.

I would like to see Ericsson, Howard, Helm & Abdelkader continue to play and get the experience.
Everyone else should go relax, heal up and have fun.
