A Few Notes

Doug MacLean is guest hosting on Fan590 today and just mentioned Gerard Gallant interviewed for the Islanders job yesterday.  Now, before the rumors start to fly, he just interviewed, that is all.

Doug said Pascal Leclaire elected not to go to arbitration so he will either sign with Columbus or will hold out until he gets a contract he likes.

Doug also mentioned Detroit is the best hockey city in the states, no doubt about that, and said with the Wings cutting some ticket prices for the upcoming season, well, it may send some fear around the rest of the US based teams. If the Wings can’t move tickets, well, there may be a league-wide problem.

No offense, but this is Doug MacLean aka the worst GM this side of Mike Milbury. I’ll take anything he says with aa tub full of salt.

If the Wings can’t move tickets, it’s not necessarily a league-wide problem….it’s because people are concerned about something a little more important around here…i.e. whether they’re going to still have a job next year!

Mike beat me to it. I don’t think Wings attendance is a barometer for anything except local issues.

Doug Maclean is the biggest douche bag in hockey.  He ran Columbus into the ground and now takes every opportunity he can to try to dishonor the team who gave him nothing but opportunity.  The guy is a pathetic and pitiful human being.  This jackass will never get a real job in the NHL again.
