Defenseman Luca Sbisa will be re-assigned Monday at a destination to be determined. That means Sbisa, who was called up from juniors last season, cannot return to the NHL this season.
The 19-year-old was minus-1 with no points in eight games with the Ducks since he arrived from Philadelphia with Joffrey Lupul in a trade for Chris Pronger….
Goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere did not practice and all but ruled himself out for Monday’s game against Toronto, meaning the Ducks will likely recall former Toronto prospect Justin Pogge from Bakersfield.
“Uh, no,” Giguere said when asked if he could play. “Give it a couple of days rest here, and see what’s going to happen. We’re not too concerned about it, but … we have to give it time and make sure it’s ready.”
