A Hemsky Trade Could Work Out

from Jim Matheson of he Edmonton Journal,
Would you trade Ales Hemsky?
I know, I know. His Edmonton Oilers contract is user-friendly in today’s salary cap world. His cap hit for the next three seasons is a very agreeable $4.1 million, less than Dustin Penner’s number, although Hemsky’s salaries are $4.4 million, $4.5 million and $5 million during the last season in 2011-12. On the other hand, his contract is also attractive to other teams that might want to trade for him.
If the Oilers could get two front-line players for him, at least one a bigger, stronger body like winger Dustin Brown of the Los Angeles Kings and retrieve hard-nosed defenceman Matt Greene, too, would they consider it?
Is it that far-fetched? I don’t think so.

Maybe the Lightning would make a trade, but who knows.

The already traded Matt Greene away to the Kings. Los Angeles would probably just laugh if they called and asked to un-trade him.

I got it…an E4.9
Hemsky to the Senators
Spezza to the Sharks
Thonrton to Tampa Bay
Marleau to the Oilers
Lecavalier to Montreal
Higgins to the Senators

that would be amazing if we get green and brown :D, i doubt LA would do the unless they want to screw up their team. they might gives us simmonds or handzus but not guy of brown’s calibre. Oilers should move him to Wild for harding and clutterbuck.

I doubt the Kings would even move Brown straight up for Hemsky let alone add Greene.
I know personally I would not trade Brown for him.
