A Point Gained Or A Point Lost

Brian Rafalski of the Detroit Red Wings scored with two/tenths of a second left on the clock which gave the Wings a point in the standings.
Edmonton won the game in a shootout in a game I am sure Detroit fans were looking for a victory.
How will that one point be looked at when the regular season is completed?

Given the effort in the first & second periods, I’ll say this one will be lookedd at like a wet fart in white pants when going commando.
I believe that was W.B. Yeats who said that first, no?

Wings suck right now - from a long time wing fan
Howard sucks in shootouts- sorry but true.
Should have made some moves…
Franzen needs to pick it up.
Nets suck, NHL needs to widen the net by 2 inches.

Given his output from the 4 month layoff, last night was his worst game since coming back… I’ll give him a pass.
The finger needs to be pointed at everyone, including the 3 guys behind the bench I haven’t looked at the mainstream pages, but if I read Uncle Mike saying “we weren’t prepared” or “I didn’t have them ready” crap… I’ll scream as he should have during the time out in the ast where he didn’t say a peep.

Aren’t the Wings 7-2-1 in their last 10?

Our shooters, suck. Sorry but true. We never score first and we never answer. If you need your goalie to save your ass in the shoot out you screwed up in the first place.

Moocat is right, Jt is wrong.
The problem isnt so much Howard in shootouts. They’re not FABULOUS in shootouts, but they’re usually ok.
The bigger problem is that shooters not scoring. You should never lose the shootout itself 1-0, and the Wings have done so too many times. Datsyuk has a bad habit of juuuussstt missing on shootout attempts. If he converts a few more of those, that could easily be 3 extra points right there.
