“At one point I thought I wasn’t going to play again,” he said. “I decided that, after the way things went in the playoffs, that I wasn’t ready to quit.”
“People say, ‘Oh, you’re old, you can’t play anymore,’ but I truly believe it was kind of a fluke season,” Roberts said. “Everybody has a year once and a while with injuries. I’m close to being 100 percent and really feel good coming in this year and having a good season.”

I surely hope he’s remembering to work out with his boxing gloves out. I would SO hate to see him hurt his knuckles when he practices swinging away at opponents’ heads.
Hey, Gary. WhatEVER you do, when you swing away like that, don’t break your hands on somebody’s head. And be careful not to overextend your elbows. And god forbid you should dislocate your shoulder or lose your balance and fall down and go boom and get a frickin’ concussion. Yeeeah. God forbid…
