from Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun,
After swinging his goalie stick and sending some Gatorade bottles on the club’s bench flying, Emery tossed his stick into the stands before heading to the dressing room.
Alfredsson said last night if Emery wants to get back in net he has to work harder in practice and earn a start from coach John Paddock because the current situation is frustrating for everyone involved.
“To get considered for a start, (the coaching staff) is looking for (Emery) to show that he wants to be in there,” said Alfredsson, who didn’t see the incident. “You have to work hard in practice to show that you want to play. That’s what most players do when they’re not playing and the goalies are no different.”

The Ottawa Senators held an open practice on Friday morning in Ottawa with only one goaltender on the ice.
Ray Emery, who ended Thursday morning’s skate with an on-ice tantrum, was nowhere to be seen a day later. He was sent home by team officials after showing up at the rink.
added 12:50pm, from the Ottawa Sun,
“I told him to go home because he wasn’t feeling good,” said Senators coach John Paddock after practice. Paddock added he expects Emery to be back at practice on Saturday.
