All Eyes On Florida

With the trade deadline set for 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, there is considerable interest whether the Panthers will re-sign Olli Jokinen, or whether they will attempt to trade him. Even those contenders who wouldn’t attempt to trade for him have interest because a Jokinen trade could affect the balance of power.
Among the teams that would be interested in Jokinen are the Calgary Flames and Ottawa Senators, both of whom have Stanley Cup aspirations. Another possible dark horse would be the Nashville Predators, who have been pondering the possibility of landing a big physical center almost from the start of training camp.
