How about the fact that Ference made absolutely no attempt to actually play the puck?...it’s cool though, not like McDonagh is a cripple now. Way to clean it up, NHL.

So, the league should start suspending players 7-10 games on first offenses?
Come on. Get real.

Unfortunately Shanahan still has some of the same flaws his predecessor had, that being too many subjective factors: 1) “intent” to injure 2) Injury considered in penalty 3) star factor 4) team factor. None of these things should be considered when giving penalties, otherwise you are back to the wheel of justice!

Honestly , yes if that’s what it’s going to take to stop the stupidity. A couple games is clearly not enough of a deterrent, because Shanahan has been a busy man all season long,

This was perfect. He didn’t really push him, and he is a first-time offender.

Most intent I’ve ever seen. 8 stride charge, right on the numbers.

“No apparent injury.”
Ahhh, got it. Someone literally has to die on the ice before we start getting some real suspensions.
