Andy McDonald Out With Fractured Leg

Center Andy McDonald, who leads the club with 18 points, suffered a fractured left leg in the first period Sunday against Montreal and will be out indefinitely....

“Andy has been, to this point in the season, our best player,” Blues coach Andy Murray said. “Nobody feels sorry for us. (But) we battled one of the better teams in the league right to the end with the lineup we had tonight. So, give our guys credit, we’ll find a way.”

After originally reporting Andy McDonald’s injury as a broken leg, the St. Louis Blues on Monday confirmed the veteran center has a broken left ankle and figures to miss at least two months.

added 6:38pm,

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that forward Andy McDonald is expected to miss the next eight weeks due to a fractured left leg.

After an MRI was performed by Blues team doctors in St. Louis, it was determined that surgery will not be required.
