Another One Goes Down

I just received an email from Mike Chen,
My server experienced a “total system failure of the primary server and a corruption of the mirror” so I’m gonna be down for a day or two. Fortunately, it’s the middle of August and the weekend, so it’s probably the best time for that to happen!
So if you have been attempting to visit his site, you know why you are getting a domain default page.

Whoever it is, he’s really cruel—not only is my blog down, my business site is down, complete with FTP’d files from clients. And all of the other people who had sites on that server. They’re getting a lot of angry/panicky emails over the past 24 hours.

I can relate to your woes, Mike. Here’s hoping you get your sites back up and running soon.
Mine wasn’t singled out, turns out several sites powered by Joomla (the software I use) were hacked and the files rendered unusuable. I’m now looking into getting a good backup program for my files so if this happens again (crossing fingers that it doesn’t)it won’t take so long to get my site up and running again.
