AO Vs. Geno

from The Good, The Bad, And The Duthie,

From the opening face-off, it looked like a couple of guys trying to show-off to win the same girl (Natalia maybe?) They were ridiculously dangerous on almost every shift. They went after each other, with Ovechkin trying to flatten Malkin in the Danger Zone (ask Dean McAmmond where that is), and then almost scrapping moments later. It was Anything You Can Do…translated in Russian.

What a game! I obviously would have preferred the Pens to get the win, but it was exciting from start to finish. Had Conks started in goal, I believe the Pens may have won, but regardless, fantastic game!

Was a great game to watch.  I still maintain that Malkin is criminally-underrated simply because of his team he’s unfortunately stuck on.  There are about 20 other teams in the league he’d be The Man on with no questsions asked. And Ovechkin is freaking Ovechkin.

How about watching them after their goals… the intensity and fierceness of their celebrations?  Gotta’ love that attitude and joy.  When did the Russians become the charismatic ones?

And who needs Crosby?

Primis, I agree, Malkin is way underrated! He’ll eventually slip from under the Crosby spotlight and watch out. I’d love to be a Pittsburgh fan these next 10 years.
