Arizona Cardinals Oppose Ticket Tax Proposed To Help Yotes

he National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals, who are neighbors to the Phoenix Coyotes in Glendale, Ariz., filed papers in the hockey team’s bankruptcy case opposing a special sports taxing district.
A ticket tax, or some similar tool, has been mentioned as a way for the city of Glendale to recoup financial concessions it might need to make to keep the Coyotes playing in the city.
Last season’s NFC Champions, the Cardinals are “opposing any special taxing district, or any similar plan that might impact the Cardinals and its fans,” attorneys for the team said in court documents.
