From the Denver Post,
Is a deal between the Avalanche and goalie Jose Theodore imminent? Judging by the words of Theodore’s agent, Don Meehan, that seems possible.
“I think things could accelerate quickly,” Meehan said Monday.
Theodore will meet with Meehan today at the agent’s Mississauga, Ontario, office to discuss what Meehan said was a contract offer by the Avalanche.

Why is it a bad idea? He played well this season once he was given the reigns. He stole a playoff series against the Wild. He struggled through the flu against Detroit and half of the LE Monsters playing in front of him due to injury once he was healthy.
Look at the FA market and tell me who would be a hands-down better pickup? I have no problem with Theo as long as he isn’t making $6 million a year.

I don’t see how this is a good idea for Colorado.
I really, really don’t.
