If Francois Giguere cannot make a deal for somebody better than Peter Budaj or Andrew Raycroft, then find us a general manager who can....
In Colorado, this NHL season is slowly dying of boredom.
We deserve a better brand of hockey.
Do something, Mr. Giguere.

Josh, I don’t see any entitlement there. Just a statement that Giguere needs to do something.
Do Habs reporters add “But everybody wants Lecavalier” on all their rumour reports?

What exactly does he expect Colorado to do?
Every team in the league either has a goaltender (who they are NOT giving up) or needs one (and thus is in the same position as Colorado). There isn’t a pile of solid goaltenders waiting to be plucked out of the land fill and start winning games.
You can criticize the GM all you want for leaving Colorado in this poition, I suppose - for being overly optimistic that the goaltending options he chose actually could handle the job - but I don’t see that he really has any viable options for fixing it until after the season. If there was a viable option for a trade I’m sure he would have jumped at it already.

The point is… why sign a goalie? The team is dog meat and having to give up 2 #1’s for a goalie accomlishes what? Moves them from a 12 seed to a 6-8 seed? At best?
