from Adrian Dater of All Things Avs,
My money is on Marty Biron or Ty Conklin being the next Avs’ starting goalie, with Boods as the backup.
There was a report in the Ottawa Sun today, too, saying Sakic will play one more year. The paper has a one in two chance of being right, but I have not heard that as a fact from my people, so we’ll keep waiting to see.
read on for some ‘Monster’ talk…

Biron’s contract makes him too big of a risk at that price, in my opinion. Ty Conklin seems like a no-lose option at a much lower rate. You get a proven goalie for a couple of years while you develop your “kids”.
Maybe a 3 year, 4M dollar grab at him seems very reasonable for both sides here.

Biron thinks he’s five million a year goalie

I’d stay away from Biron and The Monster for that matter too! Until he proves himself in NA he is a huge risk…seems like the type of goalie the Leafs would overpay for!!

i woudlnt pay biron 2 million to be my goalie. He is like another Dan Cloutier.
