Babcock Seeks Advice From McLellan

From Tim Wharnsby at the Globe & Mail:

San Jose Sharks head coach Todd McLellan, nominated for the Jack Adams Trophy today, spent the three previous NHL seasons as an assistant coach under Detroit Red Wings bench boss Mike Babcock.

The Wings coach acknowledged that he phoned McLellan on Thursday for advice on dealing the Ducks, who upset the Sharks in the first round. But Babcock would not divulge what sort of counsel he received from McLellan.

I don’t see Draper going anywhere, just by how the illitches treat the players. but if somone were to go i’d much rather see maltby go along with samuelson and maybe kopecky depeding on the situation.

However, we wonder if there is a fit for him with the Toronto Maple Leafs next season.

I think Crosby and Ovechkin would be good fits as well, why don’t the Leafs just trade for those guys?

The only way Draper goes is if he comes to Holland and says “I would like to play my last season close to home, can you trade me to Toronto?”
