Back To Dallas We Go

Stars defeat Wings 2-1 to force a game 6 in Dallas on Monday night.
The Stars are beginning to play their game and the Wings are getting frustrated by the tight defensive game the Stars play.
Stars have the momentum now, but also have the pressure of winning game 6.
First goal is key come Monday!

You said it Paul. That was probably the most gut wrenching loss I have seen the Wings take since the WCF last year. First goal is the the key!
Go Wings!

Don’t worry, I’m sure Detroit will win game six. The league just wants to make sure they are softened up for the Penguins so they will have the Stanley Cup champ that they want to market. They have no idea how to market a team like Detroit, but Sidney Crosby is going to be easy, since everyone can actually pronounce his name and he speaks English and everything!

Sorry, Miss B, but the League had absolutely nothing to do with this loss. This one is all on the Wings.
Babcock said in his first-period interview that the Wings needed to be quicker on the loose pucks. They weren’t, except for about a five-minute span in the second period.
And for all the ragging we’ve all done on Turco, today he was a rock. A man possessed...and this time, not by a demon known as The Joe.
The bottom line is this: If the Wings really want this series, they’ll play like it on Monday. If they’re still caught up in looking ahead to Pittsburgh, they’ll end up looking back at only the third time in history a team lost a series when up by three.
Quite frankly, I’d say the odds are no better than 50-50 that they’ll pull themselves together. They gave Dallas life...and, unfortunately, they may not be able to choke it out of them again.

That’s what happens when you are only able to watch the first period because you have other plans for a spring weekend afternoon, and then comment in the immediate frustrating aftermath - the same impulse that right after an ugly breakup makes it seem like an excellent idea to take a torch to his book collection, and then you come to your senses while you are looking for the propane and start thinking rationally again…
It’s just frustrating to see them not play at their best, through tension or whatever, and risk further injury when they don’t have to.
Could be worse, though - Apparently the Boston Celtics haven’t managed to win on the road in the playoffs yet at all, and the Pistons are just waiting for them and Cleveland to pound each other into mangled bits. Detroit can win in Dallas, IF they can figure out how to play better.
