via TSN,
The Colorado Avalanche took a dual hit on the injury front Monday.
The team learned that forward Ryan Smyth suffered a concussion after his collision with the padded partition near the Avalanche bench. He will not be able to exercise or return to the ice until he is symptom free. He also suffered a minor shoulder separation remains sidelined for an indefinite period of time.
The news got worse for Colorado as Marek Svatos was diagnosed with a torn ACL that will require surgery and sideline the forward for the remainder of the season.

No. He’s not.
Avs are in really good shape even with Smyth and Svatos out. Still as deep as any team in the league, easily.

Just stay in the 8 spot, that’s all I ask.
Either you guys or Nashville.

Kukla’s Korner is always a free service for readers, but it costs some money to maintain. If you’re ever in a position to donate a few dollars to help out, we’d be very appreciative.

It always hard to feel bad for the Dive, but that’s a rotten break for both Smyth and Svatos. I wonder if Floppa’s now wishing he’d picked Philly for his grand return?
