from Nathan Sandals of Slap Shot at the NYT,
The state of Michigan already had its fair share of lackluster sports teams: the winless Lions, the 3-9 Wolverines football team and the disappointing Tigers to name a few. But now the college hockey season has added a couple more unpleasant surprises to the rolls.
The hockey version of the Wolverines and their counterparts at Michigan State went a combined 0-4 in C.C.H.A. action over the weekend, dropping them into the mediocre middle of the conference. It was the first time the teams were swept on the same weekend since Nov. 28-29, 2003.

Yes, this season has been pretty frustrating to watch, and quite obviously disappointing. I think that Lerg’s play has not be disappointing, even in the 7-1 loss against UNO this past weekend Lerg made some good stops. A goalie can only do so much when he is the only one on the ice that is doing anything right. Hopefully, they guys get their shit together and start playing some good hockey. And having a lot of freshmen in the lineup is no excuse.
