The Toronto Maple Leafs have brought in another defenceman, signing free agent Francois Beauchemin to a three-year deal believed to be in the range of $10 million.

Nice pickup for Toronto now they need to add some offensive. Its pretty safe to say Kaberle will be dealt now…

I like some of the additions to Toronto but the problems remain…they’re just throwing guys together and hoping they stick.  I don’t really remember if they addressed the offense but I don’t recall anything major.  If I were a betting man…they may make the playoffs but won’t go far.  None of these additions are gamechangers.

Still…I think Beauchemin is a fantastic dman with scoring streaks.  Komisarek?  Flake.  Gill?  Horrid…just horrid. 

They still don’t have a consistent high scoring center/winger.
