from George Sipple of the Detroit Free Press,
“That’s as good a game as I’ve seen Bert play in a number of years,” Babcock said. “I thought Bert was excellent and helped those guys. He’s big and he skated well, and that was important for us."…
Bertuzzi relishes the chance to play with Zetterberg and Datsyuk.
“I think I’m capable of playing with those guys,” he said. “Be nice to get some chemistry with them and try to contribute when the Mule is out for now. I think it’s a spot I can be successful in.”

Wouldn’t it be great to see Bertuzzi reinvent his career in Detroit?

For how happy I am to have seen him play well on Saturday, I want to make sure that’s the kind of effort he’s willing to put into a game no matter which linemates he has. He was backchecking in the first three games. I just don’t want him getting pouty and loafing if and when Uncle Mike inevitably breaks up Datsyuk and Zetterberg again.

Homer scored thirty goals in that spot. When you play with Pavs you’re going to score goals.
Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!

Shouldn’t be too surprising that a man with Bert’s psychological persuasion has no problem playing the Homer-Mule role, which includes being blasted with pucks and crosschecked mercilessly.
