An excerpt from the interview discussing the Phoenix situation:
“Relocation is only a matter of last resort,” Bettman told MacLean. “It’s not fair to fans to let them invest financially and emotionally in our game and then turn our backs on them.
“The only time you do that is when you have absolutely no choice and you’ve explored all of your options.”
Hmmm...Did you explore all the available options with Winnipeg and Quebec City, Gary?

doesnt anyone know that the growth for salary cap has already been set for 2009-2010 cap? the cap will go down in the 2010-2011 season. thats why nhlpa didnt opt out this cap because they know after 2010-2011 season they can reopen the cba and bettman will try to lock them out again.
btw its amazing how no one in ‘hockey media’ doesnt ask the right questions to bettman.

I’m approaching a saturation point with Bettman that whenever I see or hear him I wince and immediately fumble for the remote, or to close the browser window.
He’s such an ideologue that he could be replaced with a Mad Libs pad and a sockpuppet.
