via TSN,
The Montreal Canadiens added some depth to their bottom two lines on Wednesday, claiming forward Blair Betts off waivers from the Philadelphia Flyers.
Betts, who was waived by the Flyers on Tuesday, is expected to join the Canadiens in Toronto when the club takes on the Maple Leafs in their season opener.

It’ll be good for his peace of mind to stop wondering how the heck a guy like him could lose his job to a guy like Rinaldo.

A very good move for Montreal. Blair Betts will help any team he plays for. Waiving him was another of the recent wrong-headed moves that has Filthydelphia heading for a very poor season.

Thing is, Philadelphia’s relatively good at finding or acquiring quality depth players like Powe or Betts, but for some reason they just don’t value them.

Good to see Betts picked up by someone else. Hoping the Flyers didn’t make a mistake here by waving him.
