Big & Mean

from the Contra Costa Times,
Sharks coach Ron Wilson said he doesn’t know a lot about his newest player, defenseman Craig Rivet. But he does know this.
“He’s big. He’s mean,” Wilson said before Monday night’s 3-2 loss to the first-place Anaheim Ducks. “He’ll add some stiffness and backbone to our defense.”
Who knows definitively whether the Sharks made a good, bad or middling trade Sunday when they acquired Rivet from the Montreal Canadiens for Josh Gorges and a first-round draft pick?
But you’ve got to like general manager Doug “The-man-who-traded-for-Joe-Thornton” Wilson’s track record.
