This weekend will help determine a lot. Beat Los Angeles and Phoenix, and you make a statement that things are on the upturn. Lose to both, and you have to start figuring mathematical probabilities on what it will take to make the playoffs – with 65 games left in the season.
The Stars figured everything would be OK after a 1-5-1 preseason.
They figured everything would be OK after a slow start.
They now figure everything will be OK after getting three points out of a possible 10 on a five-game road trip.
That’s a great attitude to have if you eventually make everything OK.
