Team goals aside, Martin Biron entered this season with a personal objective: prove to himself and the world that he’s a legitimate No. 1 goaltender in the NHL.
The days of backing up Dominik Hasek and Ryan Miller in Buffalo are over. At 30, Biron is making a name for himself with the rejuvenated Flyers.
He admits there’s one thing that would hasten his validation as a high-level netminder — getting voted onto the Eastern Conference roster for the 2008 NHL All-Star Game in Atlanta.
