Boudreau Can’t Believe Hiller Was Not A Star Of The Week

“When you’re out West, you don’t get the love you do when you’re out East,” the Ducks coach said Tuesday. “There’s no way that (Jonas) Hiller shouldn’t have been one of the three stars of the week.”
Ah, yes, the East Coast bias.
When the NHL named its three stars Monday, the Ducks’ goalie was not mentioned. Instead, Ottawa goaltender Craig Anderson, Chicago forward Viktor Stalberg and Pittsburgh forward Evgeni Malkin were honored.
Hiller was 2-0-1 with a shutout and stopped 62 0f 65 shots overall. At one point, he went 6 1/2 periods of regulation without allowing a goal.
“I mean, good God, Malkin had one game out of four and he gets third star,” Boudreau said. “So, I mean, what Hiller did, if he didn’t get first star he should have at least been second or third.”...
“It’s amazing how the Ducks don’t get the love from those guys,” Boudreau continued. “So I’m going to start promoting these guys. I’ll go on TV myself. I think I’m doing another TSN show later, so I’ll be talking about him again.”
