Brad Richards, who was returning from a broken wrist, is out indefinitely after breaking his other hand in Saturday’s game.
“Richards will be out indefinitely. He broke his other hand,’’ Stars coach Dave Tippett said. ``He has a spiral fracture of a bone in his other hand. It’s not good news.”

I don’t think “strength training” or conditioning have a whole lot to do with broken bones in your hands.

Kukla’s Korner is always a free service for readers, but it costs some money to maintain. If you’re ever in a position to donate a few dollars to help out, we’d be very appreciative.

I feel bad for him...not just because he plays for dallas (the most boring team in the nhl besides the devils). He’s a good guy but not only that he’s incredibly talented right up there with the great passers of the league (Savard, Crosby, Hemsky, etc.) but no finishers. The bad thing is that if a guy get’s into the habit of getting hurt (usually because of conditioning, probably not in this case) then they find it hard to get a job in the nhl; also hand injuries to a passer can be career ending. Let’s hope that he just ignores this season takes the time off, let’s everything heal, and does more strength training in the off-season. Hey Gaborik....are you listening?
