from Chris Zelkovich of the Toronto Star,
The pre-game show has been given a big facelift and looks a lot more interesting, especially the round-table chat featuring Kelly Hrudey, Mike Milbury and Ron MacLean.
But the show’s first feature was, you guessed it, a look at Leafs coach Ron Wilson.
Yes, Wilson is new to Toronto, but the Ottawa Senators have a new coach, too.
But at the CBC, the mantra has always been: If it’s blue, it will do.

Whatever it’s faults, as a former metro Detroiter who grew up watching HNIC on Channel 9 out of Windsor, I’m really glad to see that the NHL Network is now picking up the HNIC doubleheader on Saturday nights.

And channels which carry baseball always want the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. Some teams are always going to draw more attention and thus more viewers than others.

Yes, CBC will always be Toronto focused win/LOSE/draw. Seems a waste of time and $$$. But as our federal election points out you have the good, the bad and the NDP in this country. With all apologies to Clint Eastwood.
In other words it is what it is, and even a new government won’t change the CBC’s bias.
Still it is not as down home embarrasing as John Garett’s total bias and blunders when it comes to the Canucks (when they’re winning). It’s embarrasing to listen to him doing color in his Canucks jammies.
I mean pllllease....
