from Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice,
Let the build-up of the hype begin.
Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur will head to his hometown of Montreal with a chance to tie Patrick Roy’s all-time wins record Saturday night against the Canadiens.
Brodeur notched his 550th career win in tonight’s 5-2 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes at Prudential Center.
“There’s something to be excited about now,” Brodeur said afterward. “We’ve talked about it before it was kind of hard. We had to win this game to make this a possibility on Saturday so definitely I’m happy that we won today and I’m happy that I have a chance to tie him up in Montreal. I think it just adds up to the story. You can’t ask for a better script to a certain extent. It will be interesting.”

There’s so much excitement in New Jersey that they had 14,000 fans last night…. The state of N.J. is a joke…3 Cups….always in the playoffs…. a first place team and still no fans. I can’t understand why any free agent would ever sign there. This is a team that no one can root for…....
