It seems Ray Shero isn’t going to be the general manager for the Boston Bruins after all.
The Providence Journal reports that Shero, who was offered the position over the weekend, is asking the team for too much money and negotiations have broken down.

Same thoughts for me Clancy. A few readers emailed me saying it looks like Shero was in and I should mention it.
I mentioned it a bit last week but my response was he was offered the job, he didn’t accept it yet.

Smart thing in holding off Paul. Figures the day I decide to actually acknowledge the fact teams are looking for GMs, I pick the day where there’s a lot of news coming out of Boston.
I only hope for the sake of the Bruins organization that they end up with Chiarelli if not Shero. If it comes back to Gorton, the Bruins organiztion will be an even bigger joke.
