Bruins Need Fixing

from Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe,
All we know for sure right now about the Bruins is that something isn’t right. In fact, a lot is not right.
They’re engaged, but only sometimes. They hit, but not nearly enough. They think, but their thoughts wander to risky places even AIG workers wouldn’t dare go. There is nothing at all special about their special teams, which yesterday went a listless 0 for 5 on the power play and killed only one of three shorthanded situations.

HMMMMMMMMM Need some scoring!!! Sounds like Kessel to me

The PP will sux without Kessel although everybody but the fans seem to think the Bruins didn’t need him. Subtract Kessel and then realize that there is alot of mediocre talent (Bergeron, Kobasew, Lucic, Recchi, Ryder) on this team and it is what it is

Wait, you mean you can’t win the game if Lucic just goes out and punches a couple of people?
Who knew?!

Loosing Kessel is without a doubt part of the problem.

Yep, Colorado’s 90% PK and 38% PP had nothing to do with the outcome. Kessel’s absence led directly to the shorty yesterday. Not the attempted gang-rape of Galiardi in front of the Bruins bench.
Who knew all they needed to be decent at special teams was a coach with experience and an actual system?

Timmy Thomas was a flash in the pan

I agree that Thomas was inflated last year and Rask isn’t really ready to play full time.
Still…wasn’t it Krejci that got the contract kessel wanted so pretty much it’s on his back this year. Savard has been good enough (as he USUALLY is). Wouldn’t matter if kessel was on the bruins now because he’s hurt for a good month or so (at least). Do they still have Sturm? I’m surprised he’s still in the nhl.
Maybe they just need a fire lit under their as*es?
