from Eric Duhatschek of the Globe and Mail,
...yesterday, a day after backstopping the Coyotes to a 3-2 win over the visiting Detroit Red Wings in the opening game of their best-of-seven Western Conference quarter-final series, Bryzgalov appeared in the team’s dressing room after an optional practice wearing a lime green, palm tree-covered T-shirt (“Caribbean green”) and happily went on about how good life happens to be at the moment.
It will be even better if the Coyotes happen to extend their lead to 2-0 over the Wings today, before the series shifts to the Motor City, on the grounds that “it would be a kind of unusual situation for Detroit, and then we will see how they respond.”
added 11:18pm, I am going to refrain from adding a new post on Wings/Yotes, instead putting it here.
from Anthony Perez of PhoenixCoyotes.com,
The Coyotes outhit Detroit 43-20 in a 3-2 victory. Coyotes Head Coach Dave Tippett said his team needs to continue to play physical but smart in order to win the series.
“We don’t want to run around crazy trying to be physical, but we want to do it, and just make sure we’re playing hard,” Tippett said. “If we have a chance to finish a check, we have to finish a check, but not finishing a check that is going to take you out of position.”
