Cam Ward Had Surgery To Repair Lacerated Thigh Muscle

CAR G Cam Ward had surgery late Saturday/early Sunday to repair a lacerated muscle in left thigh. Still in Cols. hospital.

added 4:40pm, The Canes official Twitter

Ward suffered a laceration of the left upper leg during last night’s game and will be evaluated more upon his return to Raleigh on Monday.

It also mentions Ward will be out at least 3-4 weeks and no mention of any surgery.

...Left thigh? I remember pretty distinctly that Nash skated from Ward’s left and made contact with right leg.

watch the replay again.. the front of Nash’s skate appears to get ward on the right thigh with the toe, and then when nash lifts his foot, you can see that it could (and apparently did) come in contact with his left thigh as he pivots his skate from toe to heel moving forward… So I think the bottom of the skate sliced right through his pants and into the leg..

I couldnt tell which side was injured from the video alone..
