Rich Hammond at Inside the Kings has been doing a great job following this ruling and will be releasing the numbers soon. If they are correct, the ruling came in lower than people expected.
added 8:46pm, per Rich Hammond,
$3.1 million next season and $3.6 million in ‘08-’09 for Cammalleri. Those are the numbers I have, and I have them from a very good source who is confident that they are correct.
added 9:43pm, OK Kings fans, enough of “is something up” questions on this ruling.
On the LA Kings homepage… The Kings have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with restricted free agent Michael Cammalleri.
You should also trust what your beat writer is saying, forget the other stuff, it is all fluff!
added 9:48pm, from Rich Hammond,
As for the range, the Kings came in at $2.6 million and Cammalleri came in at $6 million.
more… looks like the Cammalleri was shooting for the moon…

Kukla’s Korner is always a free service for readers, but it costs some money to maintain. If you’re ever in a position to donate a few dollars to help out, we’d be very appreciative.

That’s a very reasonable ruling, especially given that Cammalleri went for the obvious “Ryan Smyth” money.
