Nashville proved that the Wings are vulnerable, and I expect that Colorado will be more invasive than the talent-short Predators. Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, Ryan Smyth and Paul Stastny comprise a formidable quartet. They should drive Hasek or Osgood nuts, and either replacement will have migraines.

Jeez, does Stan even watch hockey outside the tri-state area?
Setting aside his utter joke of a pick in the Avs/Wings series, how about these chestnuts:
The Stars feature a couple of surprise aces in Niklas Hagman…
Umm, Hagman has zero points in the playoffs.
Then there’s the big-plus on D, Brian Campbell, who should have a career playoff. I see Campbell as the difference-maker in an especially close series.
Although he somehow managed three assists, Campbelll handled the puck like a hand grenade against Calgary. I wouldn’t say he was the worst Sharks defenseman, but he was far from the best. At times, he made Christian Erhoff (aka Errorhoff) look good.

I doubt it Shep. “The Maven” went 3-8 in the first round including an impressive 0-4 in the West.
Still, he didn’t bring up Chelios in this post so I guess we should cut him some slack.
