from Craig Custance of the Sporting News,
Boudreau expects a big game from Ovechkin tonight. The rare game against the Detroit Red Wings, at Joe Louis Arena, on a Saturday night is an appealing stage for Ovechkin. It certainly beats playing Florida on a Tuesday.
“He’s always very cognizant of the TV, who’s watching, Canada, US, Saturday night against Detroit,” Boudreau said. “He knows where the people are and he puts on shows when that happens.”

“He’s won a Lady Bing trophy a lot,” Ovechkin said. “So, probably ladies love him.”
Now, you have to admit that’s funny.
But one reason the ladies love him, Ovie, is because he’s also won back-to-back Selke trophies. And that guy on the “2nd line” has been known to shut down some hot-shot players in the past couple of years as well. However, with that said, the Wings definitely will miss Mule’s big body when Ovechkin’s on the ice.
But you know what Willie Nelson says: “Old age (Nick) and treachery (Pavel) will always overcome youth (Backstrom) and skill (Ovie).”

I love him for his penalty-killing and his faceoff acumen.
