Babcock is a lock for the Hall of Fame.
He has won every major championship.
Congratulations to him, and also to Steve Yzerman, who just locked his status as hockey god in Canada.
Yzerman could be prime minister if he wanted it.

The ONE saving grace in this loss is the fact Stevie Y’s reputation is preserved. That means a lot to this Wings fan.

And it had to be fauxing Crosby. There isn’t a hockey fan who isn’t a Penguin homer who didn’t cringe when that puck went in.

Yzerman could be prime minister if he wanted it.
I’m thinking NHL Commissioner.
He knows hockey and he’s low key enough so it won’t turn into a media circus if he is like other former stars (Gretzky). And he’ll also take his job seriously unlike other former stars (Messier) who might just want the attention and reconition.

I can’t lie, my immediate reaction was “CROSBY??!?!? ARE YOU PHVCKING KIDDING ME?!?!!?!”
I wasn’t rooting for USA, so I wasn’t at all heartbroken by the loss.

Uh, I am a Red Wing homer and I was never as relieved in my life when that puck went in. God bless Crosby is all I can say. He redeemed himself in my eyes today.

I’m a Red Wing homer, a Canadian, and was at the game, and all I can say is that he owed us (Canadians) that one since the rest of the team got him there and he did absolutely nothing else all tournament (minus games against Norway and Germany - big deal).
